Thankfully, it's the weekend

Well, I can safely say this has been one of the most dull, boring, busy, disappointing weeks I've had in a long time. If it hasn't been work, it's been something else. But luckily it's nearly the weekend.

Now I have that vent over, I'm going to go back to reading Northern Lights. Is probably childish but I'm enjoying it, so who cares :D

Hope I get to see someone soon, feels like I hardly have this week. ah well, busy busy busy!

I also wish I did family things sometimes, I might be 23 but I feel like I've missed out on so much and even now, it feels like it's just me, Mum and Dad rather than a family. It sometimes feels like I'm part of other families but it's just strange and I always feel like I'm an outsider or intruding.

Guess I'm just one of those people who has issues (because there aren't many of those around!).

Fantastic update from weekend

Have finally got my holiday sorted. I have a week booked off to travel upto to bonnie Scotland with two good friends of mine. Never been before, no particular reason, just never have. Am staying in this lodge, which should be fantastic for all of the travelling shinanigans and relaxing that will ensue for the week:

Mmmm, I can almost smell the fresh air and feel the
midges biting!

"Looking forward to this" may be the understatement of the century but I'll unfortunately be without my lovely missus *sniff* as she doesn't want to take my money for a second year running which I can only appreciate and admire considering my past experiences. I love her and I'm sure we'll go on an even-more-awesome holiday over the next couple of years!

Work has been ok, can't believe it's mid-week already. Boy, has time been flying. Anyway, must dash, am off to play Mario Kart for a bit :D

Good Saturday morning

Got up at half 8, lazed around til half 9. Read the newspaper, load of shite as usual. Played on the computer for a while then decided to have a go at this long forgotten gem that I haven't played in ages:

Riven: The Sequel to Myst

Good old school adventuring that still plays and looks as good as it did in 1997: Yes! :)
Geeky? Yes!
Fun? Yes!
Waste of a Saturday morning? Maybeeee

Ah well, I'm going to jump in the shower soon, grab some lunch and see my missus so this waste of a Saturday shall not go on for much longer, huzzah!

Damn phones

As good as mobiles are, it sometimes feels like they can be an annoyance in a relationship. It's so easy to misinterpret someones expressions to the point that awkwardness can arise out of thin air and no real problem. Not that that's the case every time of course, just most of the time, I find.

Bring on the good video calling age, where it doesn't cost a ridiculous amount and it's not a tiny blurry video to look at. Just my 2 cents.

Laugh, it's Friday!

Was having quite a monotonous day today before a colleague sent me the image below:

Has brightened up my day quite a bit. Oh, how the childish jokes amuse my mind. Ah well, suppose I should continue onwards with work, later!

Tonight

Tonight, I decided to start on this blogging thing that seems to be all the rage.

I can't say I have much to say at the moment, need to get used to this opening up to a computer malarkey! But, I had a good night tonight. Saw my wonderful missus, took a little trip up to la cathedral and then took the scenic (if you can call dark countryside that you can't see, scenic) route back home.

So, now I'm all bleary eyed, I'm going to sign off or whatever it is the crazy kids do nowadays.

Peace
